All details, including brochures, itineraries, dates, prices and conditions for each of the tours can be seen below. Unlike many other workshops, our tours are fully devoted to the pursuit of photography. We are actually not a tour in the traditional sense of the word, our goal is to be at the right spot at the right time and to provide an incredible photography experience.

It is all about YOU!. Through Ignacio’s guidance, you’ll not only learn the secrets of the Masters, but you’ll take your photography skills to the next level and leave your adventure with a collection of powerful, moving photographs that you’ll share with pride. Some of the photography skills you’ll learn throughout the tour include:

• The art of composition
Post-processing techniques tips and tricks
• Types of light and how to work with light
• Optimising your equipment and filters
• Pre-visualisation and the creative process
• The unique techniques of landscape photography, wildlife photography, portrait photography, while also touching on aerial, black and white, and night photography
• Ignacio will also be there to offer one-on-one guidance on other specific skills you’d personally like to master.

All levels of photographers are welcomed, from the absolute beginner to the experienced photographer. We will assist you out in the field with the camera skills needed to capture those incredible moments. Regardless of your level and your camera equipment, you will improve your skills as a photographer and you will learn the craft with an expert team.

"The March 2014 Patagonia workshop was an excellent way for me to get to some of the best photographic locations in Patagonia. Secondly, the workshop enabled me to capture great landscapes and associated flora and fauna images. Thirdly, it enabled me to learn and increase my technical and creative skills in photography with subject matter experts. The workshop’s facilitators provided ongoing advice, support and ideas that challenged my way of thinking when photographing as well as providing me an almost encyclopaedic reference of new and relevant information to develop my photographic knowledge and skills. An enjoyable and very educational trip!"

“In April 2015 I was very fortunate to experience the wilds of Patagonia – Patagonia in autumn is extraordinary.  We were treated to perfect autumn weather – every one of the major peaks we visited, Torres del Paine, Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torro, were clearly visible as we stood before the magnificence of these amazing natural structures. And on our visits to Grey Glacier and Perito Moreno we had near perfect conditions – a rarity, especially for Perito Moreno, which is only clear on five days of every year. This brilliant photography tour was led by Ignacio Palacios and Richard I’Anson. I cannot express my gratitude enough to both for their absolute professionalism, generosity in terms of their time and willingness to share their expertise and for making this such a fun and exciting experience.”

  • Customer Testimonial

“This was a fantastic photography adventure, one of the best I have experienced. What a treat to have the guidance of Ignacio Palacios and Richard I’Anson. Their different approaches to capturing images and post processing provided a rich learning environment and prompted useful discussions and personal reflection. The itinerary was designed to maximize optimal lighting conditions for sunrise and sunset which in Patagonia is breathtaking. Lower tourist numbers at that time of the year made travel easier and gave us more time for a pisco sour or two. Getting up close and personal with magnificent glaciers, staying in a refugio, waiting for early light to hit the peaks, long hikes amidst the colours of autumn in El Chaltén and marveling at the most magic cloud formations were just a few of the highlights.”

"I went to Patagonia with Ignacio in March of 2018.  This was my third workshop with him.  The first two were outstanding but this one was even more outstanding. His selection of the right spots to get the best shots were perfect. He would always take us to several spots to photograph the same landscape  from different prospectives.  Each location  offered the possibility of an award winning picture. I came back from this trip with so many best shots.   When I showed my pictures to my friends they would say you got some really unbelievable shots. What made the difference was the composition Ignacio help me select. I’m really looking forward to my next workshop with him."

Puna Atacama (Argentina) with Marsel Van Oosten - 3 - 15 March 2021 - SOLD OUT

Puna Atacama (Argentina) with Marsel Van Oosten - 3 - 15 March 2021 - SOLD OUT

NOTE: THIS TOUR IS FULLY BOOKED BUT YOU CAN REGISTER YOUR NAME ON THE WAITING LIST JUST IN CASE THERE WERE ANY CANCELATIONS.

Once again, I am running a photography workshop in Puna de Atacama region (Argentina) in March 2021 with Marsel Van Oosten and Daniella Sibbings.

This place will take your breath away – and not just because of the elevation. The Puna de Atacama is a high desert plateau located in a remote corner of northern Argentina that contains some of the most incredible desert scenery in the world. Surreal rock formations, high deserts, massive sand dunes, endless salt pans, dramatic mountains, volcanoes, lava fields, cinder cones, and turquoise-colored pools. The region corresponds to the Altiplano-Puna, extending from Peru, going through Bolivia and ending in the Northwest of Argentina.

“La Puna Argentina” is a natural prolongation of the Bolivian highlands, with which it also differs because Bolivia has a high open plateau, while the Puna region of Argentina is fractured internally by mountain ranges and depressions. The Andean compression at these latitudes, has produced a series of longitudinal blocks: the high ones have given rise to mountain ranges, while those who fell are now large areas of depressions. The lateral portions of the Andean volcanic arc cross the plateau from northeast to southeast, giving rise to closed areas, where the famous Andean salt lakes are found.

Itinerary and Dates

Joining this tour will give you the opportunity to discover some of the most remarkable landscapes in the Argentina. We will cover all the iconic locations for landscape photography at the right times of day with the best light, but we will also enjoy the culture of the region.
