Seven Colours Mountain, Bolivia

This is an image taken at sunrise during a photography workshop in the Atacama Desert (Chile) and the Bolivian Altiplano that I lead with Kevin Raber and Art Wolfe. The Altiplano is the area where the Andes are the widest and is the most extensive area of high plateau on earth outside Tibet. It was taken from a location just a couple of minutes away from the hotel where we were sleeping, at an altitude of about 4400 metres above sea level.
The image won a gold award at the 2018 AIPP NSW Epson awards and was the Focus Image of the Year in 2016. It was also part of the portfolio of images that won the 2018 AIPP NSW Epson Professional Photographer of the Year Award and the 2018 AIPP NSW Epson Professional Landscape Photographer of the Year Award.
