About the Tour

This is your chance to photograph a dramatic land of snow and ice.

The atmosphere in the far north of Finland is truly unique thanks to the wonderous winter this coutnry enjoys. During our stay in Kuusamo we will capture the Zodiac moments on a landscape photography session. The locations we are visiting are carefully planned out, providing outstanding possibilities for bird and landscape photography. Because of short winter days the blue soft light makes landscape photos interesting.

On this adventure fuelled photography workshops you’ll capture the beautifully snow covered Taiga forests in Kuusamo, witness and photograph the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights), and learn the art of award winning landscape photography with two masters of photography.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

  • Photograph Riisituntur, the frozen taiga forests of Finland.  A spectacular landscape that feels as if you’ve stepped into a otherwordly winter wonderland.
  • Marvel at the aurora borealis (Northern Lights) and learn the art of astrophotography while shooting one of earth’s most compelling spectacles.
  • Cruise at speed through the snow covered forests on snow mobiles.
  • Photograph roaming reindeer and other remarkable wildlife of Finland.
  • Capture the Käylä cascade along the Kitkariver River. This narrow cascade is open over the winter, and you’ll see Dippers chase each other in close distance.
  • If you so desire, you can photograph the icey landscapes of Lapland from above on a heartracing and unforgettable helicopter ride.
