Penguins and Petrels, Antarctica
$500 – $5,000
This is an image I photographed during a photography expedition to South Georgia and Antarctica with Luminous Landscapes. This was a life-changing experience. It was the first time I visited this part of the world and I was one of the instructors on the ship, the Ocean Nova. On the way from South Georgia to the Antarctic peninsula, we saw quite a few huge tabular icebergs. I photographed this one from the deck of our ship. There was a group of penguins on top of an iceberg and a few petrels flying around. I was lucky to get a sharp shot with the petrels in the frame as I only had a few seconds before we lost the view. I was curious as to why the penguins were so close together near the edge.
